1. Lost Creator Academy

The journey to being a content creator isn’t an easy one. Many of us can feel alone on this journey and are spending countless hours trying to research how to be successful and making a living off of our passion to create. Well, you don’t have to do it alone. I joined the Lost Creator Academy in 2020 and have gone up this steep learning curve with Christian Leblanc, one of the most successful YouTubers in the travel space as a mentor. In his academy, he covers everything from photography, videography, working with brands, other ways to make money while traveling, growing your social media, being confident on camera, and everything you could possibly need to start your business. Beyond that, when you join, you’re joining a community of likeminded people who all have the same mindset and work to support each other and truly engage on social media platforms. 2. My Camera Gear

Drones

This is absolutely my favorite toy. DJI is an amazing brand. I recommend the Mavic Air 2S if you want something small, lightweight, and you’re not too keen on investing a huge amount right away. The Mavic 3 is a freaking BEAST of a drone. This is my go to. They honestly should be charging more for the level of technology of this drone. Flight time of 46 minutes, improved camera, transmission range, and return home feature… top notch.

Currently, I am working on learning FPV with DJI’s FPV drone. I find it to be a great entry to FPV drone because of the safety features, but I don’t think I will stick with this after I develop the skills. I have a built xilo freakstyle with DJI’s first FPV system. You will need to build your own drone for this one. Regardless, make sure to get DJI REFRESH Care! You will need it. Drone’s malfunction or lose transmission and you will need to replace or repair it. Trust me, I am on drone #7.

Cameras

Love this camera for photography and videography. Captures great cinematic shots.

This is my lightweight vlogging camera. Takes decent pictures. Flip out screen. Great autofocus.

GoPro Hero 8

Accessories

Spivo Stick

I use this everywhere! Diving, volcano boarding, snowboarding, you name it! This is a great GoPro accessory that has a swivel at the end where it can turn the GoPro 180 degrees to turn from your reaction and to the environment at the click of a button.

DJI OM 5

This is my goto gimbal. As a backpacker, I need to keep everything compact and this folds up nicely for storage and can fit in big pockets.

Joby GorillaPod

Versatile. The legs bend and adjust so you can use it as a tripod or wrap it on a tree and adjust it as you desire.

Rode Mic

Good audio is a must! Attach this to your camera when recording.

Rode Mic Wireless Go

This mic gives you the option to have sound recording from a distance.

3. My Editing Setup

MacBook Pro 2021 Apple Silicon M1 Chip

I stick with the 256GB space because I work off of SSDs. I don’t like everything stored in one place in case my laptop fails or gets stolen (this has happened).

LG 38WK95C-W 38-Inch Class 21:9 Curved UltraWide Monitor

I’m really spoiled with this monitor. I love how wide it is and that I can have tutorials open side by side while I edit.

Logitech Keyboard

Logitech MX Master 3 Wireless Mouse

Samsung External SSD 1TB

OWC Docking Station

4. Travel Essentials

This hoodie is comfortable and comes with tons of essentials you need to be comfortable on your trips. Pocket for headphones, tablet, charger, phone, passport, blow up neck pillow, zipper pen… Great product.

BauBax

This is my goto camera bag. It is SO durable. Water resistant, great quality, and has pockets for all of your camera gear. Slot for your drone, camera lenses, laptop, wires, accessories, and so on.

Wandrd Travel + Camera Pack
